Pastoral livestock production on rangelands is an important land-use system and contributes between 15 and 60 % to the agricultural GDP of countries in eastern and southern Africa

The ‘Resilience from Below’ project is an action research that aims to identify and explore emerging alternative narratives towards resilience and climate adaptation in drought-affected rangelands and pastoralist areas of Kenya and Ethiopia.

The Seeds4Range Project, initiated in January 2022 and concluding in December 2024, aims to enhance livestock-based livelihoods in Marsabit, Northern Kenya, by improving the availability of indigenous grass seeds for fodder production and rangeland restoration.
