Training
Hold Masters of Arts in Development Studies majoring in Social Policy for Development from International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, an affiliate of Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Further, hold Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies majoring in Sociology from Moi University in Kenya

Career
I have over 14 years of experience in the management of humanitarian and development programmes having worked in both government and non-government organisations. I have designed, implemented, monitored, and evaluated various humanitarian and development programmes including social protection programmes, child protection, food security and resilience building programme. 

I have worked with Catholic Relief Services (CRS), a US based international relief and development organization as County Head of Office for the USAID Nawiri project in Marsabit County.  I previously served as Program Manager for Systems and Institutional Strengthening (2020-2024) for the project overseeing partnership and capacity strengthening for various project partners including County government institutions, local implementing partners, private sector actors and community level institutions among others. I also worked with CRS as Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project Coordinator (2012 – 2016) for USAID funded APHIAplus IMARISHA program implemented in Wajir and Mandera Counties. I had previously worked with the Government of Kenya as Gender and Social Development Officer coordinating gender and social protection programmes in Wajir County

Research Interests
I am interested in conducting social-economic research looking at the design, delivery and impacts of pro-poor social protection programmes such as health and nutrition, education, water and sanitation and social assistance programmes and developing policy briefs for advocating increased resource allocation for these critical sectors that enhance human development.
