Our Team

Rufo is a communication and media professional with over six years of experience working with various industries, spanning from NGOs and media. From 2015 to 2021, Rufo played pivotal roles at NRT where she commenced her journey as a Tourism and Beadworks Officer, demonstrating her leadership in fostering tourism development within NRT member conservancies. Her achievements extended to managing a destination marketing and management platform for Northern Kenya and providing communication solutions for NRT Trading through mainstream and social media. She also trained youth and women beaders in entrepreneurship and financial literacy, executed community mobilization for business opportunity mapping, and documented and disseminated success stories.

Dalle Abraham holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Diplomacy with IT from Maseno University, Kenya (2013). He has undertaken technical certifications, including Oral History of East Africa through the Open Society University Network (2020) and Ground Truthing Mega Infrastructure Environmental and Social Impacts with NAMATI (2018).

Felista earned a Masters of Art in Project planning and management from University of Nairobi. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science from Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

Diba completed his B. Arts (majors in Economics and Minors in Sociology) at Catholic University of Eastern Africa and obtained second-class honours upper division. He also has certificate on Adult training and facilitation skills, Agribusiness value chain finance training certificate. Diba has over 12 years of experience in development and research work among the pastoral communities of Northern Kenya. He worked for National Taxpayers Association as a research supervisor in Economic stimulus Programme

Rahma Hassan is a researcher working with the Resilience from  Below project and  in the Re-examining Early Warning Systems and Humanitarian Responses in Pastoral Areas of the Sudano-Sahel and the Greater Horn of Africa project. Rahma leads the research team on the Northern Kenya and Southern Ethiopia cross border case study.

Further, hold Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies majoring in Sociology from Moi University in Kenya

Hussein completed his BSc (Botany and Zoology) at the (Kenya) in 2002 and obtained his MSc in Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Agriculture at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (Norway) in 2006. He conducted his Ph.D. research at DITSL. Hussein holds Bachelor of Science degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Masters in Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Agriculture from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway and Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Kassel, Germany.
